When I'm not buried in manuscripts, I'm usually spending time with my family, trying to keep up with my three dogs and cat, and adding yet another book to my ever-growing TBR pile.
Academic Publications
My passion for language extends beyond fiction. During my studies, I contributed to the published research paper Bordering on the Truth: A Northern Irish Case Study.
The paper is published under my maiden name, S. Hunt, and reflects my experience in academic research, critical analysis, and written communication—skills that continue to inform my work as an editor today.

Where a Love of Stories Meets a Passion for Editing
Hi, I'm Sammy, the editor behind The Revision Witch.
I've been a reader for as long as I can remember. Fantasy has always been my escape, and I love nothing more than getting lost in richly built worlds, complex characters, and stories that stay with you long after you've turned the final page.
That passion for storytelling eventually led me to editing.
I am currently completing a BA (Hons) in English and History, where I have developed a strong understanding of language, structure, critical analysis, and effective communication. With a current average of 74%, I am on track to graduate with a First-Class degree.
Alongside my studies, I work closely with authors to help them strengthen their manuscripts while preserving the unique voice that makes each story their own.
What I Specialise In
My greatest strengths lie in fantasy, romantasy, and science fiction. As an avid reader within these genres, I understand the importance of worldbuilding, character development, pacing, continuity, and reader immersion.

My Editing Philosophy
I believe editing should be collaborative, supportive, and constructive.
Your manuscript should still sound like you when the editing process is complete. My role is not to rewrite your story, but to help refine it by improving clarity, consistency, flow, and readability while respecting your vision as an author.
Beyond Editing
When I'm not editing, you'll usually find me reading fantasy novels, studying, spending time with my family, or exploring new worlds in Final Fantasy XIV.
